Meet the Founder

Big Sky Engineering is owned and operated by Michael C. Brown, P.E.

Mike graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1980 with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer.  He has 29 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing, including time as an engineering supervisor and operations supervisor.

Mike worked for International Paper’s pulp and paper mill in Pineville, Louisiana on a variety of projects and processes throughout the plant.  He worked for Kimberly-Clark at their Paris, Texas, Child Care manufacturing plant, followed by a staff engineering position at Kimberly-Clark’s corporate location in Roswell, Georgia.  While there, he supported the non-wovens business sector in engineering, as well as in research and development.  He was also with Eastman Kodak in Columbus, Georgia – a manufacturer of lithographic printing plates – where he worked on a variety of process and finishing projects.

Mike is also a part-time instructor at Columbus Technical College in the Industrial Technology Systems program, and is a member of the International Society of Automation (ISA).
